How many times have you heard someone say:  “If I had known what was going to be involved in doing this, I never would have started?”

This is a common feature of human experience: our best intentions don’t always lead directly to the best results.

This has certainly been true for me.  When I set out to make BIRTH OF INNOCENCE, “a simple, beautiful film about the deeper truth of who we are,” I never imagined the hardships this would create for so many people I care about.  If I had known then what I know now, I would have turned swiftly and decisively in another direction.

But I didn’t, and now here I am.

Many of my closest friends, neighbors, and family members jumped in to support my efforts in making BIRTH OF INNOCENCE.  Turning away from these people, and from the trust they have placed in me and in this project is not a path I would even consider.  I have made mistakes, but I'm not running from them;  I am working every day to set them right.  As a dear friend told me many years ago, “The only way out is through.”

For a variety of reasons, this website is not yet the place to tell the story of all that has happened in making BIRTH OF INNOCENCE.  I hope that time will come sooner than later.  But for now, I continue to do everything I can, despite challenging circumstances, to create a positive resolution for everyone involved.

Today, we welcome you to join us in celebrating the release of RARE EARTH, the novel I have been writing this past year, which I hope you will enjoy.  Your interest in this site supports our work toward creating a worthy next chapter for another story, as well:  BIRTH OF INNOCENCE, and all the good people who have invested their trust and their hopes in that story.

Thank you for visiting.  I invite you to keep in touch as the next chapters unfold…
